Duke of Edinburgh students at Beach Clean up Anse Forbans-23 September 2017

Written by admin. Posted in FrontpageNews

Students from Year 12 and 10 started the service section of the Duke of Edinburgh award in spectacular fashion by taking part in the clean-up of Anse Forbans Bay. It was fantastic to see students from ISS take an interest in protecting their environment and their support was gratefully received by the organizers. There will be lots of exciting opportunities for Duke of Edinburgh students to give back to the wider community in the coming months. Special thanks to Connor Haworth in year 8 for the amazing aerial photos!

Clean up the World

ISS Wildlife Club and a group of sixth formers joined with Clean up the world activists. Ocean Project, the Anse Forbans Community Group and Doubletree Hilton organised the clean up on Anse Forbans beach and surroundings in South East Mahe.

Parents and students from ISS collected a wide variety of rubbish which was then sorted and recycled where possible

Many thanks to all the participants. The event was commemorated by a drone photograph taken by one of our students Connor Haworth.
