Creole Day and World Food Day
Creole Day and World Food Day
Creole day was celebrated at ISS on Thursday 21st October. Many students dressed up in colourful Creole costumes. Some students brought along Creole food recipes that they had cooked at home and these will be collected and shared with the staff to allow them to try out some of the delicious traditional dishes
World Food day was also celebrated and students had a food collection for the Red Cross. The Red Cross came to school for the handover ceremony and they were presented with 600 items donated by ISS families in all sections of the school. The ISS School motto is ‘You are not born for yourself but for the world’’ Students and staff at the school donating these items of food to the community raises awareness about other people who are not so fortunate and who are in need of food.
The Red Cross Society thanked the school and said that the donations of food will be of benefit to families in need.
