Dragonese Week at International School Seychelles!
We have just received an email from author Cressida Cowell who has seen the work the Junior section carried out based on her live author screening, books and movies ‘How to Train Your Dragon’.
Thank you so much for telling me that your school had a lovely week of activities based around Dragonese Day. I could not be more delighted that the children found my event inspiring.
All best wishes, Cressida Cowell
Classes made masks, paintings, maps, collages, did old Viking writing, made clay dragons teeth necklaces, creative story writing, dragon shaped candle burners (for Divali) and much more.

All Junior children watched the author event and were thrilled that ISS got a mention by Cressida during her live author interview! They also enjoyed popcorn and other tasty treats whilst watching ‘How to Train Your Dragon’ with support from the school PTA and Junior Council and look forward to a screening of the second film in the upcoming weeks.
The grand finale of the week was showing off all of the good work in the Junior section assembly which was held outdoors in the baking sunshine and mixed with some local Creol dancing to celebrate the local culture too.
