Duke of Edinburgh First Aid Continues
This was the second week that ISS students, who are working towards their Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Award, completed their First Aid training. A new cohort of students practiced emergency medical care to unsuspecting patients. The course covers key lifesaving skills and gives participants the opportunity learn about the more common medical conditions and outlines the appropriate treatment for adults, children and babies including wounds, bleeding, choking, sprains and fractures.
The practical course was provided by Anne Rose-Innes from First Care who will be leading further courses at ISS in the near future.
