Fantastic Sports at the Stadium!
The children from ISS Juniors enjoyed a wonderful morning of sport last Thursday when they competed in a variety of skills-based activities and events as part of their annual Sports Day competition at the Stade Populaire in Victoria.
Every student participated across five different disciplines and earned performance points that contributed towards an overall total for their House. It was a hard-fought affair, but in the end the spoils went to Desroches (Yellow House) who were awarded the coveted winners cup at the end of the morning.
Part way through the morning the Juniors were joined by children from Year 1 and Year 2 who, for the first time, were able to get a taste for competing in a ‘real’ stadium and thoroughly enjoyed their egg and spoon races , sprints, bean bag throwing and relays. It was wonderful to see our littlest sportspeople having such a great time and being able to show off their skills to the many mums and dads who came to watch and support.
Many thanks to everyone who played a part in making this event such a success – as can be seen from both the photos and video, it was a wonderful experience for all concerned!
