International Swimming Success for ISS Students

We are very proud of Nicole Grasselli Barni, Samuele Rossi and all other national swimmers who came back from Mauritius after a very successful week at the African Swimming Confederation (CANA) zone 4 championships.

Nicole secured several medals including a Gold in her 800m Freestyle event.  Samuele captured a silver in the 100m Breaststroke.  These are great achievements from two of our very talented swimmers and we at ISS continue to be proud of their hard work and success.

With the money ISS PTA made at Sports Day, they produced beautiful caps for the swimmers. And were also able to contribute towards the participation fees of two very talented young Seychellois swimmers – as otherwise they would not have been able to go to Mauritius.  The Championship was officially opened by the Mauritian Sports Minister Yogida Sawmynaden. A total of 52 events took place on the first day of the championship with Seychelles’ swimmers in action in 14 events.  Seychelles went to the championship with 16 young swimmers, ten boys and 6 girls.

Well done to Nicole, Sam and all the Seychelles competitors!
