Children in the Early Childhood Section are now enjoying the new Jungle gym. Many thanks to the PTA and all the parents who supported this fund raising activity. This is a very child friendly jungle gym which will help to develop the children’s large motor skills as well as provide endless fun. We are already using the playground at the back of the Early Childhood building. The area has now been levelled and covered with sand and after lunch the children in the Early Childhood Section are beginning to get acquainted with their new play environment. Outdoor play activities will include the jungle gym, little tykes play apparatus, the wendy house, a wormy play tunnel, see saws and various small apparatus such as balls, hoops etc.
Dear Parents and Guardians
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all, for the amazing support everyone has given to all the PTA functions over the last year. There is however one event so many parents are constantly requesting us to host once again. Yes the night market! This event proved to be so successful we are now hoping to make it an annual event.
This will be a wonderful opportunity for all the parents and friends of International School to mingle and socialize whilst doing some pre-Christmas shopping. Or else just relax with your friends whilst the children are entertained with fun activities, music and many other great events.
Year 8 recently brought the French Revolution alive in Miss Boughey and Mrs Delharte’s History lessons at the ISS. Following on from their learning about Maximillien Robespierre and the Reign of Terror in France during the 18th century the students were encouraged to flex their creativity, with a
little help from some parents, and recreated the most efficient method of execution during that era for homework over half term – the guillotine.
