From Beethoven to Bob Marley to Bollywood dance (superbly choreographed by sixth former Bhavini Raghvani)Ballet, hip hop and Zambian traditional dance were each brilliantly performed with high energy, style and confidence.
This year the secondary students performed the school musical adaptation of ‘ANNIE’ in Act Two, which combines the original Broadway show with the 2014 film remake. Adapted, directed and choreographed by Mrs. Georgie Nicholls, (Head of Performing Arts), with Mrs Brown as assistant director and Virgina Campolucci. as student assistant director. Leah Malbrook (year 7) played the title role, a lovable orphan who has had a ‘hard knock life’. A number of Year 7-10 students created a strong, supportive and energetic chorus and showed dedication to rehearsals from Term 1 this year.
The Performing Arts department would like to give a special thanks to all the parents, teachers and members of the PTA for their support, and to the participating students for their commitment and outstanding performance contribution during our whole school annual show. We look forward to showcasing the performance skills and a variety of talent across the whole school again next year.
