World Book Day and World Wildlife Day 2018 were celebrated in style on Thursday 1st March at ISS. Every student from Reception 1 up to Year 7, dressed as their favourite book characters and paraded in front of parents, families and some special guests from Cascade Primary School. Each class also celebrated by creating a giant book cover which looked fantastic. Parents then enjoyed sharing stories with their children back in class and the students carried out ‘booky’ activities throughout the day. The PTA also held a bake sale to help with the development of the school’s wildlife garden. One child in each class was also awarded the annual ‘Most Improved Reader’ award to recognise their fantastic effort to improve their reading ability. Well done to everyone!
