Teachers’ Day Message
Dear Teachers and staff of ISS
On behalf of the Board of Governors, Association Members and all the parents of ISS community I would like to express our gratitude to you for your efforts and commitment to all the students of ISS.
We recognise the efforts of the school in improving and increasing the range of programs so as to better suit the needs of all our students and the efforts of teachers and staff to develop and support these programs.
Teachers’ Day is an occasion to acknowledge the commendable work of educators and teachers and to celebrate the achievements of each and every one who plays a role in forming and shaping the minds and characters of our children.
Education is the cornerstone of any society and teaching is considered to be one of the noblest profession in the world because no other profession gets to have such an active role in shaping the future generations of the world. Your role as a teacher in every student’s life is therefore a great one with huge responsibilities. A simple remark by a teacher can have a lifelong positive or negative effect on a student, therefore great teachers are always mindful of the effect that they can have on each child by their teaching, their actions and their remarks and they always strive to have the most positive effect on all their students. Our prayer is that all of you teachers at ISS work with the same mindfulness of great teachers.
Teachers do not simply teach the students about subjects, but you also help students to improve their knowledge, skill level, personality, confidence as well as shape them to achieve to the best of their abilities. You are not only role models but truly the makers of the future and should therefore be proud of such role and discharge your duties with great care and due diligence.
Your role as teachers requires the ability to manage a rapidly changing educational and technological environment, to deal with increases in expectations, limitations on resources and we all appreciate your efforts, understanding and commitment.
Your commitment and all your hard work from Reception 1 to Year 13 is reflected in the performance of our students in all areas, be it academic, sports, performing arts and I wish to take this opportunity to thank you for your invaluable contribution to ISS.
I wish each one of you a Happy Teachers’ Day. May you be blessed with the strength to achieve greater personal and professional growths in the years to come.
Happy Teachers’ Day
