The War against Plastic continues….
Teachers, students and ex students joined MCSS to clean up Grande Police. In 2017 wreckage from a stricken fishing vessel washed up on Police Bay. This included a large amount of plastic debris from the boat structure and a massive haul of this was gathered last year. Unfortunately, this type of pollution occurs regularly on this the most southerly beach on Mahe and this week the team picked up the smaller plastic debris on this important site for green and hawksbill turtle nestings. This is a regular monitoring beach for MCSS. An excellent environmental clean up up has now improved things for the time being!
