  • Head of PE

We are seeking to appoint, for September 2017, an enthusiastic and creative learner-centered Head of PE, to teach across the Secondary age-range, from KS3 up to A-Level as well as coordinate the implementation of the whole school PE curriculum and the development of PE in the school.

We are looking for someone with a passion for sports who will inspire and motivate students. The ideal candidate will be competent in new developments in PE, committed to continuous professional development and keen to contribute to the success of our students and our PE team. He/she will use contemporary methods of assessing and reporting student performance with the aim of raising attainment and have a proven track record of enabling successful student progress and examination results.

We invite applicants who hold a degree in Physical education or other related degree with a post-graduate teacher qualification and have at least three years’ teaching experience within an English National Curriculum, IGCSE and A-Level programme, preferably in an international setting, to complete and submit the attached application form, recent photograph and the contact details of at least two professional referees as a single merged PDF to vacancies@iss.sc with the subject line “PE coordinator” before Friday 31st March 2017.   • Teacher of ICT/Computing – HOD available for suitable candidate

We are seeking to appoint, for September 2017, an enthusiastic and creative learner-centered ICT Teacher. Possibility for Head of ICT is available for the right candidate.

We are looking for a passionate teacher who will inspire a love of ICT and technology and who is committed to enthusing and challenging our well-motivated students. The ideal candidate will be competent in learner technology, committed to continuous professional development and keen to contribute to the success of our students and our ICT Department. He/she will use contemporary methods of assessing and reporting student performance with the aim of raising attainment and have a proven track record of enabling successful student progress and examination results.

The successful candidate will hold relevant BSC degree plus PGCE or other equivalent teaching qualification, have  very  good,  up  to  date  knowledge  of  the  changes  to  the  National Curriculum (particularly regarding the introduction of Computing), have excellent subject knowledge and experience of using a wide variety of teaching styles to promote independent learning.  Have at least 3 years’ experience of teaching at Key Stages 3, 4 and 5 with a high level of commitment to teaching, have used assessment data to set challenging targets and to raise standards of pupils’ achievements.

  • Teacher of ICT (primary and secondary levels)

Applicants should be outstanding practitioners with at least three years experience of specialist teaching of ICT; experience within the National Curriculum of England is an advantage. Applicants should have a proven track record of excellent student progress and results. A focus on learning and experience of contemporary strategies and assessment models will be advantageous. Applicants require an excellent command of the English language, and must be able to inspire and guide a diverse group of children and young people from different parts of the world.
