Year 6 Environmental Trips
6A was very excited to participate in some outdoor education lessons this term. The 3 sessions included a trip to Port Launay beach to study plants and leaves, a journey to the waterfall via the mangrove boardwalk in the Ramsar wetlands and a tour of the Biodiversity Centre at Barbarons to find out more about endemic plants.
The students were extremely interested and learnt a lot about Seychelles flora and fauna and they were able to compare the wetlands at Port Launay with the ISS wetlands where our students have been doing a lot of planting to regenerate the mangrove area.
