Year One Museum trip
Year One students visited the recently opened National History Museum in Victoria. Miss Mary and Miss Louises classes have been studying local history and were able to observe and discuss displays in the museum which told the story of Seychelles. The students were fascinated by all the exhibits and spent time drawing the large model sailing ship ‘La Minerve’. Museum staff Karl and Natalie led the groups around the museum and answered the many questions that the inquisitive children asked. The pupils learnt a lot about life in the past in Seychelles and were fascinated by the Portugese canons and pistols and loved the pictures and artefacts which showed how people used to live. Many thanks to the Museum for welcoming our enthusiastic young learners.
