Science Week Poster Competition

Students in year 7, 8 and 9 took part in the UK Science week from 14th to 18th March 2016 by participating in a nationwide Seychelles poster competition.  This competition involved creating posters to highlight the positive and negative influences on the biodiversity of the Outer Islands in the Seychelles.

Students explored scientific concepts in their science lessons, brainstorming the keywords and the effects that humans can have on the number of species living on and around the Outer Islands, both to decrease and increase the diversity. Students then worked on their posters in their science and art lessons and as part of their homework.  Their final works of art have been submitted to the Ministry of Education ready for judging and we will wait to hear if any of our students have won prizes at the end of April.
