‘Talking Climate Chaos’
Secondary students from ISS were invited to attend the ‘Talking Climate Chaos’ fair held at the Unisey campus Anse Royale. Many partners in Seychelles had joined together to talk about the effects and impacts of climate change. The aim of the conference was to raise awareness of the challenges of climate change and how to be climate smart. During the morning students attended presentations in the Manchester theatre and were fascinated by the numerous and informative exhibitions. The pupils were particularly keen to see the winning secondary schools projects from Anse Royale, Beau Vallon and Perseverance. These inventions were explained to our pupils in great detail. The various NGOs and ministries answered questions from our ISS Eco warriors and we were particularly interested to see the steps being taken to protect and armour the many wetlands in Seychelles. We all agreed that all our pupils would have benefitted from attending this illuminating day. Congratulations also to the 3 young students from primary who danced at the opening ceremony.
